Dominique Brunchmann Dominique Brunchmann completed four years of a Bachelor of Music program at the University of British Columbia in 1997, majoring in Orchestral Percussion Performance. During this time, she became one of the youngest extra percussionists employed by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and she has been performing with them since 1995. Upon completing her fourth year at UBC, Miss Brunchmann became the Principal Timpanist/Percussionist of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra - a position she has held for the past eight seasons. She also performs frequently with the Kamloops Symphony, Prince George Symphony, West Coast Symphony, Pacific Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Willingdon Church Orchestra. She has been involved in many broadcasts for both television and CBC Radio One and Two, and has performed with such talents as Jann Arden, Natalie MacMaster, Anne Murray, Dee Daniels, The Rankins and Holly Cole. Dominique has performed three sessions with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (1994, 1995 and 2004), the latter year as both a librarian/staff member and a performer. She has been a member in good standing of the AFM since 1995, frequently teaches percussion clinics and masterclasses, is a pianist of twenty-five years and continues to teach private lessons, was a high school choral director's assistant for one year, and is the Vice-President for "The Opera Project" in Vancouver. Miss Brunchmann is officially sponsored by the Avedis Zildjian Company and Yamaha Canada Music Ltd.
