Natalie Burdeny

Praised for her "warm mezzo" (Opera Canada), Natalie Burdeny is becoming a sought-after performer in Western Canada. Having recently returned to Canada after a year living and working in Germany, she was welcomed home as the Mezzo Soloist in a performance of Verdi's Requiem with the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Neil Wiesensel.

Her most recent operatic engagements include Dorabella (Cosi Fan Tutte) and Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro); both with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar (Germany).

She has performed with Vancouver Opera, Banff Centre for the Arts, Pacific Opera Victoria, Burnaby Lyric Opera, Vancouver Island Opera, Opera NUOVA, Victoria Operatic Society and North Shore Light Opera. Natalie is a two time recipient of the Vicky Modeland Ridgewell Memorial Scholarship for Most Outstanding Mezzo Soprano and currently studies with International Soprano Heidi Klassen.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Natalie is the Administrator for Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar and continues to have a successfull career as an Application Developer.
